Born in 1890 to a Japanese father and a Russian mother, Yuri's birthplace is unknown. In his youth, he moved throughout China, going wherever his father's military assignments took them. Both of his parents died when he was 10 years old.
Called a "Godslayer" by some, feared by most, this anti-hero has the power to call upon the souls of various monsters to aid him in battle. He lost the love of his life Alice Elliot when she sacrificed her soul to save him. It is said he even dug her grave with his own hands. Not knowing what to do since her death, he has vowed to protect the small village of Domremy.

An old puppeteer who lives in an apartment in Paris. In the past he was famous all over Paris for his lively puppet shows he put on, but after his wife's death he quit performing. Now days he usually lingers in Domremy, where he drinks a little too much. He now travels with Yuri and his beloved puppet known as Cornelia, who looks a little too much like his daughter, in his quest to find a cure for Yuri's curse.
Gepetto's element is dependant on the dress Cornelia is wearing. Thus he can be under any of the elements.

A vampire turned pro wrestler. Joachim isn't exactly what you would call conventional. A defender of justice and one to bring down any wrong-doers, he protects the children and old women in the village of Le Harve. Not knowing that Joachim wasn't actually doing anything wrong, Yuri and the gang go after him. However, later on the truth will come out and he'll join your party as a very powerful member! Even though he seems tough, his mind is as dull as he is strong.
Joachim is a member of the famous Valentine family, as such he is related to Keith Valentine from the previous game.

She is now known as a beautiful dancer and fortuneteller in Florence. She joins the party after a series of mishaps. Though it might seem like she's useless, in reality she's probably the best support character of the game! Her Aromatherapy skill can cure just about any status effect and healing SP and whatever else to the whole party!
Even though she's beautiful, she does tend to say some pretty dumb things at times.

The fourth princess of Russia, she is the problem child of the house. Anastasia is at the age of sensibility, curiousness, love, and mischief. When you first meet her, she is a bit upset over the man who has come in, named Rasputin. She believes he's up to no good and is out to prove this! To do this she gets a camera and tries to spy on him, where she is caught. A monster is sent after her, but Yuri and the gang rush in to save her. From there they work together to rid of this man, and of course, you'll get Anastatia in your party!
With her snapshot/album skills you'll get plenty of great attacking magic, so she's a great character to have!

A powerful swordsman from Japan. Kurando is a very loyal protecter of the Kawashima's, and would give his life to protect them. Of course, when you meet Kurando, Anastasia will instantly fall in love with him. Kurando acts a bit funny and confused by this at first, but he slowly warms up to it. His mother just so happens to be Yuri's aunt, so of course Kurando has a similar ability to morph into demons.
You first meet him at the beginning of disc 2 with Blanca as he's escaping and fighting enemies at the Brick Warehouse. When the party joins back together afterwards and you are in the Yokohama streets you'll see someone kidnap a little girl. This is when you'll get Kurando in your party!
